Tara Stark is a luxury, land, and ranch real estate professional with more than 20 years of experience serving North Texas. But her connection to equestrian properties began long before real estate.

Raised on ranches throughout Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana, Tara grew up immersed in the horse industry and was one of six children in a family where hard work, dedication, and family were at the center of everyday life. She began riding and competing at a young age and, at 17, went to work for the legendary King Ranch, where one of her responsibilities was caring for Mr. San Peppy.

After more than 35 years in the saddle and a career in the cutting horse industry, Tara transitioned into real estate in 2004. Many of the lessons she learned through horses—preparation, patience, discipline, perseverance, and the ability to read both people and situations—became an unexpected foundation for her real estate career.

Today, Tara is the founder of The Tara Stark Real Estate Group, based in Historic Downtown Weatherford. Her team specializes in luxury estates, equestrian properties, and recreational and working ranches throughout North Texas. Her firsthand experience with horses and the lifestyle surrounding them has given her a unique understanding of what makes an equestrian property work—not just as real estate, but as a way of life.

Outside of real estate, Tara has a deep passion for philanthropy and believes strongly in giving where you live. She enjoys supporting organizations that serve women, children, and families throughout her community. Her faith is an important part of who she is and how she approaches both life and business. When she's not working, you will often find her spending time with family, antiquing, watching a Texas sunset, or somewhere around horses and her beloved rescue animals.
