Matthew Fisher is Head of Mortgage Banking & Director at George Smith Partners, where he leads the firm's correspondent mortgage banking and loan servicing platform. Matthew's mandate spans the full life of a loan, from origination through servicing, and includes the firm's correspondent relationships with life insurance company lenders.

Matthew has spent more than 15 years in commercial real estate, most of it on the life insurance lending side of the market. He founded CalProp LLC in 2009 and grew it into a servicing inspection business handling over 1,200 site inspections annually for life insurance lenders across the country, then moved into origination at a life insurance correspondent firm in 2015. His funded transactions cover all major property types and a range of special-use assets, with particular depth in development, hospitality, and multifamily.

He holds a Master of Science in Real Estate from the Runstad Department of Real Estate at the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from California State University Channel Islands. He is a member of NAIOP Washington, the Mortgage Bankers Association, and lives outside Seattle with his wife and two children.
