Matt is no stranger to the Military as he was born at Balboa Naval hospital, where his father served in the Navy. Matt retired from the Army as a Command Sergeant Major (E-9) after serving 21 years and 10 months of service. He has served on multiple deployments culminating with his last as a Task Force CSM. He has been awarded the Silver Star, “V” device for Valor, Bronze Star, Combat Action Badge, Airborne, and Legion of Merit, and is a proud Member of the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club. Service has not stopped there. His son Colin currently serves as an Airborne Infantry Soldier with the United States Army.

Matt has been in a Leadership role since first joining Keller Williams. He has served as CEO / Team leader of both Market Center 68 in El Paso, Texas, and Las Cruces, New Mexico, and at Market Center 401 in Colorado Springs, CO. Throughout his time as CEO / Team Leader, his Market Center team grossed over 350 agents and netted 138 in a 26 month time period. His Team came in 5th during KWRI Bet On Red 1 and 2nd during Bet On Red 2 while also earning praise in 2021 during the NTXNMM Regions award ceremony for #1 Net, #3 Gross, #1 GCI increase (52% increase), #1 Market Share appointments and TL of the Year.

He is the father of two, an Active Duty Military son and a daughter who is a Senior at Texas Tech. Matt has been married for over 26 years to his amazing wife, and as he says, ”his better half who makes him want to be better every day.” He truly believes that the strength in our nation comes from those who served, have served, supported, and the families that stand by them each and every day.
